At Acelero Learning, we believe that all children can achieve and succeed, and we work to empower families to advocate for their children and themselves.
EXTENDED DAY
Extended Day is offered at four Acelero Learning - Clark County centers: the Spring Valley Center, Strong Start Center, Henderson Center, and Stewart Center.
Parents, guardians, and caregivers who are interested in Extended Day services must:
Submit a Head Start application,
Submit an Extended Day application/Child Care Assistance (CCA) application, and
Be either working or attending school/an accredited training program to qualify.
A copy of the CCA application and a list of all necessary documents can be obtained from the Extended Day Family Advocate, who also collects all completed forms. Parents, guardians, and caregivers can also contact us to schedule an appointment to submit the applications with a member of the Extended Day team.
Child Care Assistance (CCA)
The Division of Welfare and Supportive Services is the designated lead agency to administer the Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF). The CCDF Child Care Program assists low-income families, families receiving temporary public assistance, and families transitioning from public assistance to obtain child care so parents, guardians, and caregivers can go to work.
Community Pay
This option is available to working families that are over the Head Start income guidelines at the Strong Start Center, Monday through Friday. Contact the Strong Start Center as rates vary by age of the child. Hours of operation for the Community Pay option are 7:30 AM to 6 PM.
